Hollow Sleeper/Cable Capturing Crosstie

Traditional cable ducts for railway crossing cables are always situated between two sleepers. This causes problems to properly plug the track at the height of these tubes and can therefore cause local positioning problems. In addition, there is a great risk that a tamping machine will damage the cable duct. A solution to this problem is the use of a hollow steel sleeper through which the cables can be passed and which eliminates cable ducts in the track.
