Kampa, supplier of Cable capturing sleeper

By tradition, cable ducts for rail-crossing cables have always been situated between two sleepers. This causes problems when tamping the ballast under the track at these ducts.

In addition, there is a major risk that a tamping machine damages the cable duct. A solution to this problem is the application of a cable capturing sleeper through which the cables can be fed and thus eliminates cable ducts in the track.
